The Tianhe Campus of Hospital of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University opened in late 2025 in Guangzhou’s Zhujiang New Town. It has 260 dental cabinets and 13 medical departments, and it covers all eight of the hospital’s national key clinical specialties. Patients from abroad are referred to the International Dental Medical Center, which operates on the principle of a multidisciplinary team that makes decisions collectively.

Clinical focus

• Dental implantology: reliable restoration for single missing teeth, several teeth or a full arch. When bone lost its volume, surgeons can place zygomatic or pterygoid implants with augmentation. Planning uses digital assisted navigation and 3D-printed surgical guides, and the center is equipped with robots for implant surgery.
• Endodontics: microscopic root canal therapy, retreatment of failed root canals and apicoectomy, with an emphasis on saving natural teeth.
• Orthodontics: care for children, teenagers and adults, including custom clear aligners to correct a malocclusion, and combined orthodontic and jaw surgery for complex skeletal bite issues.
• Prosthodontics and periodontics: chairside CAD/CAM crowns made from 3D scans, plus laser-assisted gum treatment and tissue regeneration.

What to expect

All visits are booked in advance. You can register through the hospital’s WeChat mini-program, call the appointment line, or ask at the service desk in person. The center has 13 treatment rooms, 4 of them are comfort-oriented suites. For complicated cases, specialists from different departments plan treatment together. Diagnosis runs through the center’s digital radiology unit and 3D intraoral scanning. Nitrous oxide sedation is available to anxious patients or children, as well as during any long procedures. 

International patients

The center holds weekend clinics and has a multilingual team that gives perfect communication support from the first visit to follow-up. It has direct billing agreements with major international insurers, so check with the clinic that your own policy is covered.

The campus is located at 59 Huali Road, about 100 meters from Zhujiang New Town metro station. The district is a central business area with hotels, shopping malls and restaurants nearby.
