Key Technologies:

  • Varian ProBeam® proton therapy system with superconducting cyclotron: 4 proton rooms with 360° gantries, pencil beam scanning (PBS), energy range 70–250 MeV, sub‑millimeter accuracy. The only proton therapy system in South China.
  • IBA Proteus® PLUS: second proton platform; combined, the center operates 9 proton rooms, making it one of the world’s largest proton complexes.
  • 15 photon devices for radiotherapy (including linear accelerators).
  • Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Model: each case reviewed by a multidisciplinary board according to international protocols.
  • Integration with MD Anderson Cancer Center: clinical protocols, treatment planning, and staff training.
  • Bragg Peak Principle: proton beam releases maximum energy precisely at the tumor, minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissues.
